          Books = Empowerment
          Ludacris has teamed up as spokesperson with Better World Books and DoSomething.org to launch “The Epic Book Drive”, which will provide books to the Recovery School District in New Orleans.
          "I am proud to be a spokesperson for this initiative as it’s in line with my dedication to empowering young people. The campaign is giving something as simple as a book to a student in a much needed area like the Recovery District so they can have the opportunity to read, communicate, and be inspired. Sharing in this way will have an incredible impact on the confidence and abilities of the next generation of leaders and I’m excited to be leading the charge.” – Ludacris

          SOUL-STIRRING MUSIC QUOTE... [OBAMA] - SOULNATION

          “The thing about hip-hop today is it’s smart, it’s insightful. The way they can communicate a complex message in a very short space is remarkable” – Barack Obama Barack

          Obama & Chris (Ludacris) Bridges

          As the 44th President of the United States, the media covers every political and professional move he makes, but don’t you want to know what the Commander in Chief thinks about music?
          “My iPod now has about 2,000 songs and it is a source of great pleasure to me,” he told Rolling Stone Magazine. “I am probably still more heavily weighted toward the music of my childhood than I am the new stuff. There’s still a lot of Stevie Wonder, a lot of Bob Dylan, a lot of Rolling Stones, a lot of R&B, a lot of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Those are the old standards.”

          “Thanks to Reggie [Love, the president's personal aide], my rap palate has greatly improved. Jay-Z used to be sort of what predominated, but now I’ve got a little Nas and a little Lil Wayne and some other stuff, but I would not claim to be an expert. Malia and Sasha are now getting old enough to where they start hipping me to things. Music is still a great source of joy and occasional solace in the midst of what can be some difficult days.” (Barack Obama Talks Music With Rolling Stone, 09/28/010)
